Back Pain Nerve Block
What to do for chronic back pain to the exclusion of drugs?
Any ideas to help deal with pain so bad that often feel like vomiting and so exhausted that I can not get much done? The blockade of pain with my mind or something. I understand it is just a sign of my nerves, but my body reacts horribly to information.
Knowing the underlying cause of your pain may actually help control it. chronic back pain that causes the type of symptoms sounds like it could be due to severe arthritis in his back which could even be that affect the nerves, compression fractures or other fracture, or disc problems. I am a physical therapist, and I found that if someone has severe chronic pain for more than six months is probably not going to be manageable without assistance care. Have you had an MRI? There are other causes of back pain that can not be present in an MRI, but I doubt it could cause symptoms as serious as described. Sometimes it is difficult to see the injury, even on MRI, but can do much in one. I do not know if you are being followed by a spine specialist or a specialist in pain management, but are actually options that can help you. Very severe inflammation that is longstanding usually causes such severe symptoms. Sorry to break the cycle of pain without using prescription drugs, you need to try several things: 1. see a massage therapist, physical therapist or chiropractor to help reduce inflammation with, stretching and loosening the muscles that are likely to stay tight, and the psoas (hip flexor which attaches to the front of the lumbar spine and the front and the outside of the hip), and possibly hamstring or other key areas. You can try to stretch and exercise to try to get the inflammation below, but you may have swollen so much that you need a professional to help. If you do not have health insurance, a massage therapist would be the cheaper. I do not feel that there are many creams on the market that can really help with inflammation or really help the pain, but Bio-freezing has an analgesic Ilex called natural. The food stores have products that are natural anti-inflammatories and analgesics, anti-inflammatory but not covered by any medical authority may injury is much worse than a liver prescripton one, so you have to be careful. 2. Try to get in a pool of exercises slowly and pain free as possible to help the blood flow to the area and get some old long-standing inflammation out. If you can not do that, try to make the pelvis and trunk strengthening exercises. Even if you feel hurt partial ups may be able to sit back light to work the abdominals. If the pelvis tilts hurt, try to sit down and arching slightly then round the back. Work on strengthening the hip muscles as well. There are many websites that can go with exercise. You can even try pilates or yoga or even some martial arts to work in stabilizing the trunk and pelvis. You really have to do the stabilization work anyway to protect your back. Exercises strengthening and endurance work is likely to stimulate blood flow better if you can not get a massage or go into a pool. 3. I do not try to do all this without taking inflammatory, or may give up. If you have trouble tolerating, you could try a stomach acid reducer, such as Prevacid, but I know you said you do not want medication. It may also be necessary to use ice. I know the heat feels better for most people, but if heated very inflamed area more than 20 minutes approximately constant temperature, which could actually further irritate. If you can not control the ice, try alternating heat and ice, always starting with the heat and ends with ice. You can use the heat for longer than ice. That will help eliminate some of the irritants.
