An autotraction Method is used for years by me, a medical doctor, to keep my herniated disc low back pain under control. A simple and small Frame is attached to an over door chin-up bar. I take a double mouth guard into my mouth to protect the teeth, settle my head inside the Frame, grasp the Frame with both my arms to protect the neck, and gradually and carefully begin bending in the knees thus applying decompressing force to the spine. I usually do such procedure twice a day, in the morning and evening, but some days I have to do it more often. This relieves the pain allowing me to live almost normal life. Positive processes in my spine accumulate and sometimes I can be without traction for a week or a little more though it does not cure my spine completely. The low back pain may become severe and my body crooked if I do not use traction for two or three weeks.

Conclusions:
1. this Method kept me, a young low back pain patient, capable to work;
2. it was cost-effective as all the other treatments were abandoned;
3. this Method keeps me, now old back pain patient, from becoming a back cripple;
4. it is a simple self-help, self-manage treatment so that I, 79 year old man, can easily use it at home any time suitable.

There are some other advantages of this method that need further investigation.

Please let me know if iyou are interested in the device when it is manufactured. My sponsor announced her intention to finance manufacturing if there is a shop interested in the product. No she does not demand any contract or anything of that kind. Device has been granted UK Patent, Method is pending in the USA.
